daytrack

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 12, 2026

This policy covers the daytrack iPhone app, the daytrack Apple Watch app, and the daytrack Garmin (Connect IQ) watch app.

The short version. daytrack is built privacy-first. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers. Everything you record stays on your own devices. We cannot see your data: by design, there is nothing for us to see.

What data daytrack handles

Data you enter. Your fasts, weigh-ins, fasting schedule, goal weight, profile details (such as height, age and units) and settings are stored locally on your iPhone and, where relevant, mirrored to your watch. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Apple Health (optional). With your permission, daytrack reads workouts, sleep, steps, resting heart rate and weight from Apple Health to show them alongside your fasting progress, and can write your weigh-ins back to Health. Health data is processed entirely on your device. It is never sent anywhere, never shared, and never used for advertising or sold: this is both our policy and a rule Apple enforces for all Health-enabled apps. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Watch sync

Fasting state, recent history, weigh-ins and settings move directly between your iPhone and your watch:

In both cases the data travels between your own devices. daytrack operates no server and receives nothing.

Purchases

The optional one-time watch unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, Apple ID or identity. Apple's handling of purchases is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Notifications

Fasting reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered on your device. No push servers are involved.

Data export and deletion

You can export your data as a JSON file at any time (Settings > Export data as JSON); where that file goes is entirely up to you. You can delete everything with one tap (Settings > Erase all data) or by deleting the apps. Because we hold no copies, deletion on your devices is complete deletion.

Third parties

daytrack contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. The only third-party component is the Garmin Connect IQ SDK, used solely to communicate with your Garmin watch.

Children

daytrack is not directed at children and is not appropriate for anyone under 18. Either way, it collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version ships with the app and is dated at the top. Given the app's architecture (no servers, no accounts) meaningful changes are unlikely.
